The 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated by voluntary organisation PROBAAH in collaboration with NSUI, Nazira and Siu-ka-pha Zila Parishad Samanayrakhi Committee at Simaluguri Children’s Park and Simaluguri Natya Mandir on 2nd October, 2022. The programme was inaugurated by Debabrata Saikia, MLA, Nazira and Sabharam Gogoi, Retd. principal of Mezenga HS School, in the presence of other prominent persons of Nazira subdivision.
In his speech, Mr Saikia apprised the students present of Mahatma Gandhi’s contribution to India’s freedom struggle.
On the occasion, art, dance and quiz competitions were organised among students of different classes of schools in the Nazira subdivision.
