The 87th birth anniversary of Former chief Minister of Assam Karmashree Hiteswar Saikia was celebrated by voluntary organisation PROBAAH in collaboration with NSUI, Nazira and Siu-ka-pha Zila Parishad Samanayrakhi Committee at Ruhiteswar Saikia Memorial Nathan Confirm at  Simaluguri on 3rd October, 2022. The programme was inaugurated by Debabrata Saikia, MLA, Nazira, Dr Joychandra Hatibaruah and Sabharam Gogoi, Retd. principal of Mezenga HS School, in the presence of other prominent persons of Nazira subdivision.
  
        In the early morning,  Mr Debabrata Saikia ,his wife Mrs Bandana Saikia and prominent people  tributes to Samadhi Khetra of Lt. Hiteswar Saikia and floral tributes  to his statue. Apart from this, a speech competition was organized  among college and school students. Prizes are distributed to the Ranked Participants of the competitions  held yesterday and today. Members of Zila Parishad, President and Members of GPs. school teachers, parents, students were present at this function.
